Mamma Mia Soundtrack Mamma Mia Soundtrack Playlist Mamma Mia Album Soundtrack Playlist pronounced French for Do you want is the sixth studio album by the Swedish group ABBA, released in 1979. It features a number of hits such as Chiquitita, Does Your Mother Know and I Have a Dream and showed the group embrace disco music, which was at its peak at the time. The album topped the charts in a number of countries and was one of the top five-selling albums in the UK for that year. Voulez-Vous pronounced French for Do you want is a 1979 song by the Swedish group ABBA, written and composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. The song is the second track on the group's 1979 album of the same name. In the UK and Ireland, Voulez-Vous was released as a double A-side, though nearly everywhere else, Voulez-Vous was a single A-side. The song also features on the album Gold: Greatest Hits. Voulez-Vous 1979 represents some of the last creative gleanings in this direction subsequent releases by the Swedish foursome would betray more of a modern rock influence. If the formula is familiar here, it still delivers an exhilarating rush on tracks like Angeleyes, Does Your Mother Know and Kisses Of Fire. Along with the breathlessly upbeat tunes are two standout midtempo numbers, the Spanish-flavored Chiquitita and the lightly-funky If It Wasnt For The Nights. Agnetha and Frida achieve their typically delectable vocal blend, while Bjorn and Benny reaffirm their stature as pop master-craftsmen. On 19 May 1979, ABBA's Voulez-Vous album went straight to the UK summit to begin a four-week reign and a 43-week chart stay. Voulez-Vous, their first album recorded at Polar Studios in Stockholm, smashed straight to the top to begin a four-week reign and a 43-week stay among the bestsellers. Listen to Voulez-Vous right now. Just to underline the might of the super-Swedes by this time, the album had gone silver, gold and platinum in Britain even before it made the charts. Within five weeks, it was in a million UK homes. That it took nearly a year to record Voulez-Vous is an indicator of the creative and personal constraints in which the four members of ABBA found themselves at the end of the '70s. Their sixth album coincided with the marital split between Agnetha Fältskog and Björn Ulvaeus and the massively shifting currents in popular music, with disco, which had been on the wane, suddenly undergoing a renaissance thanks to the 1977 movie Saturday Night Fever. Thus, about half of Voulez-Vous shows the heavy influence of the Bee Gees from their megahit disco era. 7: ABBA: The Album. not the album ABBA.
