One Thousand Years of Trouble is the debut full-length album, and second album overall, by English electronic rock band Age of Chance, released in 1987 by Virgin Records. After attracting the attention of Virgin with their industrial cover version of Prince's Kiss, the band signed to the label and began working on the album with producer Howard Gray, whose Sequential Circuits Studio 440 drum machine enticed the band. Gray was given free hand by Virgin on the album, which was recorded at Trident. We Got Trouble Lyrics. Don't Get Even Lyrics. Ready Or Not Here We Come Lyrics. Produced by Howard Gray & Age Of Chance. Label Virgin Records. Artwork by The Designers Republic. Producers Age Of Chance & Howard Gray. Writers Geoff Taylor, Jan Perry, Neil Howson & 1 more. More Age Of Chance albums. Album 1987 14 Songs. Age of Chance was no more than 18 months ahead of its time - two years, tops - but that short gap was enough to doom the band commercially. If 1987's One Thousand Years of Trouble had been released in 1989, when groups like Pop Will Eat Itself and Carter USM were actively exploring the links between Iggy Pop and Public Enemy, it would have been hailed as groundbreaking. Tracklist: 1. We Got Trouble, 2. Dont Get Mad Get Even, 3. Ready Or Not Here We Come, 4. Shut Up & Listen, 5. Hold On, 6. Whos Afraid Of The Big Bad Noise, 7. Take It, 8. This Is Crush Collision, 9. Learn To Of Chance were an alternative rock, indie dance band from Leeds, England active from 1985 to 1991. They are perhaps most known for their mutant metallic cover of Prince's Kiss that topped the indie chart in 1986 but narrowly missed being a crossover mainstream hit at the beginning of 1987, reaching only 50 in the U. Despite signing for major label Virgin and being favourites with the music press, they never enjoyed a pop hit. One Thousand Years of Trouble is the debut studio album by English electronic band Age of Chance. Release date: October 8, 1987. Label: Virgin. Clear disc tray: No. We Got Trouble C Minor. One of the best albums of the 80s. Fantastic, very energetic mixture of electrohip hop, industrial, proto house and the styles to come in the 90. It's also an early masterpiece of sampler use. One thousand years of artwork made by The Designers Republic. Age of Chance espoused no defined political affiliation. Like the Futurists before them they celebrated the flavour of modern life, its frenetic tempo and deafening noise. The group itself was short-lived, but they gave The Designers Republic their opportunity to begin developing a distinctive visual language that brilliantly articulated the zeitgeist.
