The score is orchestral whilst also mixing traditional African instruments and was released on December 13, 1990 via Varèse Sarabande label. Main Title 2:46. First Carnage 2:34. The central melodies and motifs established by Silvestri for the first Predator film remain ubiquitous here as well, as do the composer's sonic calling cards. Eruptions of horns, shrieking string arrangements, and swelling timpani combine for a sensory assault that's positively overwhelming. Alan Anthony Silvestri born March 26, 1950 is an American composer and conductor who works primarily in film and television. He is best known for his frequent collaboration with director Robert Zemeckis, including composing major hit films such as the Back to the Future trilogy and Forrest Gump, as well as the superhero films Captain America: The First Avenger and Marvel's The Avengers. The history of the original Predator score by Alan Silvestri has been a difficult one. There was a fictional bootleg company known as Alien Records that produced three versions of the score from 1997 to 2001.
