Songs in album Alton McClain & Destiny - More Of You 1980. Alton McClain and Destiny was an American disco girl group from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1978, the trio was composed of McClain, Delores Marie D'Marie Warren, and Robyrda Stiger. They signed to Polydor Records in the year of their formation and Frank Wilson produced their debut set. It was released as a self-titled album early in 1979 but then was repackaged under the title It Must Be Love several months later. The title track was released as a single and charted, but the second album did. Under the right circumstances, Alton McClain & Destiny might have become a big name in R&B instead of merely one-hit wonders. The talent was certainly there, and if the trio had enjoyed the guidance and direction of some real heavyweights - perhaps Gamble & Huff, perhaps Earth, Wind & Fire leader Maurice White, perhaps Quincy Jones - it might have gone far. But luck wasn't on the side of Alton McClain & Destiny, which, for the most part, didn't have great material to work with.
