ALBUM NOTES
"I am all these things"
Journey of My Soul is a cinematic orchestral journey that blends genres from the past and present. The sequence opens with a classical emotive piano piece, moving through to a dynamic percussive orchestral arrangement then slowing down to a fusion of the the middle east and deep blues, before closing with influences of folk, bossa and 60s jazz. Each chapter is a truthful response to some of the most powerful influential moments in Angie’s life.
Her love for film music started at an early age, thanks to her two brothers who introduced her to the fantastic world of soundtracks. She fell in love with composers who have also influenced the sequence of this album and have been a powerful inspiration which has helped define and evolve her style and presentation. So a big thanks also goes to Michael Nyman, John Barry, Burt Bacharach, Lalo Schifrin , John Adams, Ennio Morricone and Nick Drake. The album is a combination of instrumental compositions with thoughtful and raw vocal performances. An audio visual experience, with depth and motion.
