Angry Salad was a band from Boston, Massachusetts. The original members were Bob Whelan, Alex Grossi, Hale Pulsifer and Brian Vesco. Brian left the band after a number of years due to medical issues and was replaced by Brian Holland. They broke up when their record label, Atlantic, got rid of many of its sublabels, including the one that Angry Salad was on. With this, they lost the rights to their band name as well as their music. Bob and Brian quickly joined up under the name Star64, but that was short lived. Angry Salad released three albums: Bizarre Gardening Accident, The Guinea read more. Angry Salad's self title cd is very much worth getting. They have a great sound, which for me brought to mind two favorites, The Vigilantes of Love and Counting Crows. While some of the songs have a basic message, some are quite deep and impressive ie-Red Clouds:indians or How Does It Feel too Kill: the Kent State killings in the 70's.
