Formed in Tokyo in 1981, ANTHEM turned heads with their intense and heated performances. They released their major debut, Anthem in 1985 and continued to tour relentlessly. Their latest album, titled Nucleus, features newly recorded versions of classic Anthem songs, this time with English lyrics, and was mastered by Jens Bogran. Nucleus showcases everything that makes Anthem songs so memorable: killer melodies, steady rhythms, slick solos and soaring vocals. They picked an interesting assortment of songs to rerecord, leaning more towards their later albums, but it ends up being a really strong, really effective collection of songs. Veteran Japanese metallers ANTHEM have signed with Nuclear Blast Records for the European territory. The first release under the deal will be a greatest-hits album, featuring re-recordings of the band's most popular songs with English lyrics. Mixing and mastering the disc was renowned Swedish producer and engineer Jens Bogren, known for his work with a multitude of big-name artists. And I must say, I am so excited that in 2019, at last ANTHEM will internationally release an album, the re-recorded greatest hits.
