Album

The Austin Lounge Lizards are a musical group from Austin, Texas, formed in 1980. The band includes founding members Hank Card and Conrad Deisler, along with Tim Wilson and Kirk Williams. The third founding member, Tom Pittman, retired from the band in the spring of 2011. The band started out experimenting with folk, but was still heavily country in its style, combining the bluegrass form with which Pittman was familiar with the progressive-themed folk rock to which Card and Deisler had been. Album 1994 13 Songs. More By Austin Lounge Lizards. The Drugs I Need. Employee of the Month. Home and Deranged. The Austin Lounge Lizards have humor, irony and satire going for them, a pretty deadly combination altogether. Targets on Small Minds range from Newt Gingrich in the acidic Gingrich the Newt, which has this Newt giving the humble newt species a bad name to the intelligentsia of the art world. For all the bent edges, Small Minds is a finely played and sung album that's a pleasure to listen to and gets a definite recommendation. Small Minds, 2007. Austin Lounge Lizards. Austin Lounge Lizards Format: Audio CD. Please retry. Format: MP3 MusicVerified Purchase. This album was a recent purchase thinking it would contain the same cleverness that my other two Lizard albums are filled with. Sadly it does not, so what you are stuck with are some mediocre songs without much of the classic punchlines I had come to expect from this group. I would suggest Employee of the Month or Never an Adult Moment over this album. Paint Me On Velvet - Austin Lounge Lizards.
