Album

Barry Goudreau is the debut self-titled album of original Boston guitarist Barry Goudreau. Featuring Goudreau's Boston bandmates Brad Delp on lead vocals and Sib Hashian on drums as well as future Boston singer Fran Cosmo, the album displays a sound very similar to that of Boston's first two releases, Boston 1976 and Don't Look Back 1978. However, neither this album nor any of Goudreau's subsequent releases with other acts Orion The Hunter, RTZ proved to be as commercially successful as his. Barry Goudreau - Barry Goudreau. I have truly enjoyed Barry Goudreau, his 1st solo outing after leaving Boston. With Brad Delp on vocals and other Boston members on drums, Sib Hashian & Fran Cosmos, guitar vocals it shows that there was way more talent to Boston than Tom Scholz. In fact it was Goudreau that had formed the foundation of the band that became Boston. As noted by other sources Barry had written a great deal of material for Boston's third album but Scholz refused hence this album. The album as a whole is a refreshing break though from the Scholz dominated Boston gig and truly highlights the talents and writing abilities of Goudreau and his other band mates. If you're a Boston fan it is a must have
