The front cover photograph of Rubber Soul was again taken by Robert Freeman but the way the faces appear slightly distorted on the sleeve was a result on a happy accident while the image was being projected. Our whole attitude was changing - we'd grown up a little. Rubber Soul is the sixth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. It was released on 3 December 1965 in the United Kingdom, on EMI's Parlophone label, accompanied by the non-album double A-side single Day Tripper, We Can Work It Out. The original North American version of the album, issued by Capitol Records, contained ten of the fourteen songs and two tracks withheld from the band's Help album. Rubber Soul met with a highly favourable critical response and topped sales charts in. For me, the Beatles best album was Rubber Soul, followed closely by Revolver. To me, this was a transitional period from the early period to the more experimental period with parts of both in both albums. Michelle and What Goes On possibly could have shown up in Beatles '65 or Help, while several could have shown up in Magical Mystery Tour. Rubber Soul has always been one of my favourite albums and I am really happy to finally have the original mix. If you are a casual Beatles fan and already have the stereo version, I wouldn't really recommend shelling out again and buying this version but if like me you're a bit of a Beatles anorak,go for it .
