This is the second, and final album released by the power trio of Jeff Beck, Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice. This album was recorded over two nights, in , Bogert & Appice is the 1973 debut album by the band Beck, Bogert & Appice. The group was a power trio featuring guitarist Jeff Beck who had already been a member of The Yardbirds, bassist Tim Bogert, and drummer Carmine Appice both formerly with Vanilla Fudge and Cactus. The album contains Beck's version of the song Superstition which was written by Stevie Wonder. Beck had appeared on Wonder's original recording of the song in 1972. Beck Bogert & Appice Live. The studio album didn't work, but Beck Bogert & Appice's Live in Japan is a bit of a better bet, since it captures more of their interplay, thereby giving a better idea of why Bogert decided to embark on this particular project. Still, this is constrained by its ham-fisted arena rock and middling material, and, like the studio album, remains primarily of interest to the diehards especially since it was only released in Japan. Complete sua coleção de Beck, Bogert & Appice. This album is a must have for any Jeff Beck fan. In my opinion it's among his finest work. Initially it was released only in Japan back in '74 on Epic Records. First press vinyl copies are tough to find these days in really nice shape without paying an arm and a leg. The songs were taken from two shows they did in Osaka in '73. The band covers the essential songs from their debut, as well as material from their past groups, Jeff Beck Group, Yardbirds, Cactus. Текст песни: You bring me up just to bring me down Your my buttercup so where ya gonna put me down You broke my heart all I ever do is frown Oh well livin' alone is a lonely , Bogert & Appice was a coming together of three superlative musical minds. but did their only studio album live up to the sum of its parts. Jeff Beck, Tim Bogert and Carmine Appice brought the kind of power, intensity and unbridled musicianship not heard since the heyday of Cream. Loud as damnation and bursting with experimental zeal, Beck Bogert & Appice they bridged the gap between the psychedelic age and a nebulous new era where metal, hard funk, soul and heavy blues could all co-exist in one glorious tumult. People thought we were as good as it gets, Tim Bogert remembers. At the time, I did too. Beck is electric live Appice & Bogert are wailing Highly recommend to any BBA fan. Read more. Beck gives us his range of 'stunt'guitar. But it's not only Jeff who rocks the audience Tim Bogert plays tight and dynamic bass lines whilst Carmine Appice plays solidly to create great pounding slabs of groove.
