Album
Album 1980 3 Songs. Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 61: III. Rondo Allegro. 3 Songs, 45 Minutes. Released: May 1, 1980. 1980 Decca Music Group Limited. More By Kyung Wha Chung. Beethoven: Violin Concerto. Your Rating. Overview . Ludwig van Beethoven composed his Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 61, in 1806. Its first performance by Franz Clement was unsuccessful and for some decades the work languished in obscurity, until revived in 1844 by Joseph Joachim. Since then it has become one of the best-known violin concertos. Beethoven had previously written a number of pieces for violin and orchestra. At some point in 17902, before his musical maturity, he began a Violin Concerto in C, of which only a fragment of the first. These are just bits of episodes for your interest, which may let you understand the strong bond between the music and Ms. Chung, immortalized on this record. I've mentioned Tchaikovsky's concerto has so much in common with the violinist in terms of character, and I think I can say the same about Walton's concerto. Klaus Tennstedt conducts the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra on the Beethoven Violin Concerto and the London Philharmonic on Max Bruch's Violin Concerto. Is she as good as Hilary Hahn No, but good enough to get a 45. Violin Concerto.
