Bloodstone was instrumental in the black rock and funk movement of the 1970's, and even had a hand in the brown-eyed soul movement with some Latin music-tinged hits. Originally a high school doo-wop group, the members eventually moved to Los Angeles, California, learned to play instruments, and started a funk band. 66 High is the second album by soul group Bloodstone. It was reissued on CD in 1996 with several bonus tracks. Recording in the summer of 1972 and released in 1973, this album would chart number two on the Soul Album Charts, led by single Natural High, which charted at number four on the Soul Singles chart and number ten on the Pop chart.
