Album

Bob Mould sometimes referred to as Hubcap is the third solo album by former Hüsker Dü and Sugar guitarist and singer Bob Mould. It was recorded and mixed between September & November 1995 and released in April 1996. Mould played all of the instruments on the album himself, and the sleeve notes declare, This one is for me. Modulate is Bob Mould's fifth solo album, released in 2002. Although a few tracks on his previous release, The Last Dog and Pony Show, had featured tape loops and samples, Mould shocked his fans with such a dramatic embrace of electronica. Rolling Stone magazine awarded the album 2 12 stars out of five, declaring: Ultimately, this is a rock record with electronic effects, not a techno record with guitars, and it falls short of being totally satisfying as either. Robert Arthur Mould born October 16, 1960 is an American musician, principally known for his work as guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for alternative rock bands Hüsker Dü in the 1980s and Sugar in the 1990s. Born in Malone, New York Mould lived in several places, including the Minneapolis-St. Paul area where he attended Macalester College. There, he formed Hüsker Dü in the late 1970s with drummersinger Grant Hart and bass guitarist Greg Norton. Mould and Hart were the principal songwriters for. Bob Moulds raging new song American Crisis starts with a full-on scream. The track will appear on his upcoming 14th solo LP, Blue Hearts, and it vibrates with urgency as he sings, I never thought Id see this bullshit again. The lyrics compare the current political and social environments to the Eighties, alluding to the way AIDS claimed innumerable lives, and he caps it with a cutting chorus, Welcome back to American crisisNo telling what the price is. The song represents a stark about-face from Moulds last album, last years almost optimistic-sounding Sunshine Rock, although he said in a statement Blue Hearts was the catchiest batch of protest songs Ive ever written in one sitting.
