Facts of Life is the fifth studio album by American musician Bobby Womack. The album was released on June 8, 1973, by United Artists Records. The album raced to No. 6 on the US Billboard R&B chart. It also charted at No. 37 on the Billboard Pop chart. The album included the hit single Nobody Wants You When You're Down and Out which charted No. 2 on the Billboard R&B Singles chart. Bobby Womack - guitar, vocals, string and horn arrangements. Dave Turner, Jimmy Johnson, Pete Carr - guitar. This album is even better. Womack is known for his often uncomfortably real takes on love, life, and relationships, and Facts of Life expertly deals with a myriad of subjects. The only released single is his revamped take of the standard Nobody Wants You When You're Down and Out. The song has been done ad infinitum, but Womack put a nasty edge on it that made it sound like a song he wrote himself. In 1973, Womack released another hit album, Facts of Life, and had a top 40 hit with Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out, an older song Sam Cooke had done years before. In 1974, Womack released his most successful single during this period with a remake of his first hit single, Lookin' for a Love. In 1980, Wilton Felder released the album Inherit The Wind on MCA Records which featured Womack.
