Burning Sensations' album and EP sounded nothing like all of the prefabbed pigeonholes that popular music was expected to conform to at the time, which is what makes it so refreshing even now. Unfortunately the original versions presumably remain sequestered in the label's vaults, which seems particularly unjust given some of the 80s embarrassments from the CapitolEMI roster that have found their way to CD and mp3.
