Down the Road is a song by the French electronic music band C2C that was released on 25 June 2012 on the On And On. Taken from the same-titled EP Down the Road 2012, the song was written by Sylvain Richard, Guillaume Jaulin, Thomas Le Vexier, Pierre Forestier and Arnaud Fradin. The single reached the top of the SNEP chart, the official French Singles Chart. It was also a hit in Belgium and the Netherlands. C2C also known as Coups2Cross was born in 1998 from the meeting of 4 French Dj's: Greem, Atom, Pfel and 20Syl. Members of an emerging movement called scratch music or turntablism, this crew keeps working on finding original sounds and knows how to benefit from its technical control to put forward some musical quality which makes its identity. The single Down The Road delivers gusto with an introductory guitar strum that's syncopated into a myriad of other trumpet, sax, and electronic wavelengths. The song is ripe with Western feel, a slow-slung cowboy tale that has enough drawl to make you forget that these boys are from cowboys in sight.
