Album

VanityNemesis is the fourth studio album by Swiss heavy metal band Celtic Frost, released on April 11, 1990 through Noise Records. The band continued experimenting and evolving their music, this time fusing elements of traditional heavy metal, thrash metal and gothic rock. It has a different sound from the blackthrash metal of the first 2 albums, or the avant-garde. My favorite song on vanitynemesis, written by Celtic frost. Tom g warrior wrote a masterpiece of a song that has gothic metal overtones withen it. Few bands in the metal world get a second chance after a major career misstep, and no band exemplifies this problem more than Celtic Frost. Two albums ago Into the Pandemonium, they were pioneering avant-garde sensibilities in the thrash genre and wooing audiences and critics with their vast abilities. Then everyone but leader Tom Warrior quit the band, and the next album Cold Lake ushered in a new sound and a glam image that turned fans and critics away in droves. Celtic Frost discography all. Album 1989 12 Songs. is a 1990 album by Celtic Frost. It can be seen as a return-to-form compared or the mix of two eras to the band's previous album, Cold Lake. The album also includes a cover of David Bowie's 1977 hit Heroes, on the CD release. Unlike their first 3 albums before the Cold Lake era this album shows the band heading in a more thrash metal sound instead of the trademark proto-black metal sound that was heard on the first 3 albums. VanityNemesis would be Frost's last studio album before the dissolution of the band in 1993 and until their return album in 2
