Instead of trying to create something even greater than Quadrophenia, he wisely scaled down and wrote The Who By Numbers, a series of songs about the sad state of his life. However Much I Booze was so intense and personal that Roger Daltrey refused to sing it. How Many Friends is the single saddest song in the Who&apo. Stardust is an illustrated fantasy story created by Neil Gaiman, with art by Charles Vess. It was first published by DC Comics in 1997 as a prestige format four-issue comic mini-series. Encouraged by publisher Avon Gaiman decided to adapt Stardust and in 1999 it was republished as a conventional novel in hardback without illustrations. Mattes & Miniatures provided miniatures. Putting this on a turntable instead of playing it through an IPOD or on CD is a must to get a real appreciation of the 'White Duke' at his very best.
