Album

Chicago is the second studio album by Chicago-based American rock band Chicago. Like their debut album, Chicago Transit Authority, this was a double album. It was their first album under the name Chicago the band's prior name, Chicago Transit Authority, was changed due to a threatened lawsuit from the Chicago Transit Authority and the first to use the now ubiquitous cursive Chicago logo on the cover. Released in January 1970 on Columbia Records, Chicago was commercially successful. It was certified. Free is a song written by Robert Lamm as a part of the Travel Suite for the rock band Chicago and recorded for their third album Chicago III 1971, with Terry Kath singing lead vocals. It was the first single released from this album, and peaked at 20 on the U. Billboard Hot 100. Terry Kath lead vocals, guitar. Robert Lamm keyboards, backing vocals. Peter Cetera bass, backing vocals. Danny Seraphine drums, percussion. James Pankow trombone. Lee Loughnane trumpet. Songs in album Chicago - Chicago 25: The Christmas Album 1998. Chicago - Little Drummer Boy. Chicago - God Rest Ye Merry, Gentleman. Chicago - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Chicago - The Christmas Song. Chicago - O Come Al Ye Faithful. Chicago - Child's Prayer. Chicago - Feliz Navidad. Chicago - Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. Chicago, with Lee Loughnane spearheading, has customized a new recording system dubbed the Rig that. Musically, the combo had effectively abandoned their extended free-form jazz leanings for more succinct pop songs. That is not to say that the band couldn't rock, because they could as evidenced by the Terry Kath guitarvocals full-tilt rave-up Once or Twice, which commences the album. The hot brass section bows deeply and respectfully to their Muscle Shoals counterparts as Kath does his best funky Otis Redding vocal. Текст песни: I just want to be free I just want to be free I want to be free of all the hurt Free of all the pain. Альбом 2010 Песен: 70. Chicago XX strikes a keen balance between angularity and tunefulness, neither comforting nor intimidating, but performed with incredible skill and precision. Dubbed by one fan as a combination of Chicago meets Art Ensemble of Chicago, the vastly underappreciated Cheer-Accident never made the big time, in large part because its music veers through unpredictable shapeshiftings sometimes within the same tune. No horn choruses like CTA, but terrific singing by Carmen Armillas, Greg Beemster and Thymme Jones. That album spawned three Top 10 hits. Chicago's fortunes kept rising throughout the '70s though, by the following decade, they had become a faint vision of their former selves artistically. Fans of pop hits like If You Leave Me Now and Hard Habit to Break might just fall over dead upon hearing such early things as A Hit by Varese or Free Form Guitar , which is literally seven minutes of feedback from guitarist Terry Kath. Free was a top 20 hit for the band in early 1971. Taken from Chicago's third album, it shows off a funkier side of the fearless rockers. With horns to the front, it is perhaps one of the best examples of jazz rock. This item:Chicago's Greatest Hits by Chicago Audio CD . In stock. Ships from and sold by Yachew LTD UK. In Stock.
