Album
Colin Edward Michael Blunstone born 24 June 1945 is an English singer, songwriter and musician. In a career spanning more than 50 years, Blunstone came to prominence in the mid 1960s as the lead singer of the English rock band the Zombies, which released four singles that entered the Top 75 charts in the United States during the 1960s, including She's Not There, Tell Her No, She's Coming Home, and Time of the Season. Blunstone began his solo career in 1969. Released in 1973, Colin Blunstone's second solo album finds him backed by the group Argent on several tracks. As on Blunstone's first LP, One Year, production was handled by ex-Zombies Rod Argent and Chris White. Unlike the previous album, Ennismore doesn't rely much on string arrangements, but leans toward poprock-style band arrangements. There was apparently a conscious effort to record songs that translated better to a live setting. Opinions differ as to which of the two is Blunstone's best album, but both One Year and Ennismore are consistently strong records and are. Ennismore - Colin Blunstone. Ennismore is Blunstone's second solo album. Much like his debut, One Year, it features collaborations with former Zombies Rod Argent and Chris White. They were working together as Argent with Russ Ballard, who here contributes the excellent opening track, I Don't Believe in Miracles, a U. The string arrangement for Exclusively for Me creates chamber folk that's simply exquisite, while How Wrong Can One Man Be works well with a fingerpicked acoustic guitar and fleeting strings. Andorra adds a Fender Rhodes for some mild funk. Ennismore, 2011. Colin Blunstone. I Don't Believe In Miracles, 03:01. Exclusively for Me, 02:30. A Sign from Me to You, 03:58.
