Such a ridiculously underrated band, Comet Gain are still going strong today but this, their 5th album is a particular highlight. Passionate, lyrical, punky and sweet 'City Fallen Leaves' is a beautiful album. City Fallen Leaves' is a more diverse affair than the brilliantly ramshackle 'Realistes' and in many ways benefits from it. There's the indie-club bounce of 'The Fists in the Pocket', which in a fair world would've been a hit, the tender 'Draw a Smile Upon an Egg' a simple ode to staying happy and the tense 'The Punk Got F ed'.
