Listen free to Crazy Moon West Side Story. Crazy Moon is the collective force of four well-seasoned and professional musicians. In the spring of 2013 - amidst multiple bands and projects - Tom McDermott, Jesse Gimbel, Stevo Cossentino, and Rich Cossentino decided to start fleshing out songs for a new project. With a focused eagerness and solid determination they found the necessary time to create a full length album that would highlight the potential these musicians possess when brought tog read more. It was inspired by William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. The story is set in the Upper West Side neighborhood in New York City in the mid 1950s, a multiracial, blue-collar neighborhood. The musical explores the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds. The members of the Sharks, from Puerto Rico, are taunted by the Jets.
