Cuby & The Blizzards is a legendary Drentse blues band in the mid-sixties the Dutch music world bewildered with stunning live shows and fine sheet metal. Founded by singer Harry Muskee and guitarist Eelco Gelling grew the band soon became the Dutch counterpart of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Many Dutch blues musician, among whom the later rock star Herman Brood, served some time in the Blizzards, which in turn the American bluesman Eddy Boyd and the Irish rock sin. Cuby Blizzards, also known as Cuby & the Blizzards, were a Dutch blues group, founded in 1964 by vocalist Harry Muskee and guitarist Eelco Gelling. During the 1960s, the band's mixture of sound, drawing upon a variety of genres which included blues and rock and roll, gave them a pioneering sound which was completely different from any other Dutch band in the same period.
