Wind On The Water, David Crosby, Graham Nash, on ABC Records, 1975, Stereo. Two thirds of CSN one half of CSNY. Oil and water that always sounded on the Water is the second album by Crosby & Nash, released on ABC Records in 1975. Cassette and 8-track tape versions of the album were distributed by Atlantic Records, to which Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young were signed. It peaked at 6 on the Billboard 200 album chart and was certified gold by the RIAA. Three singles were released from the album, Carry Me, Take the Money and Run, and Love Work Out, of which only the first charted, peaking at 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Wind on the Water was released in 1975 after the previous year's CSNY reunion tour and the dissolution of their contract at Atlantic. In many respects, this alliance made perfect sense. When it was just the two of them, they were often more likable. Crosby wasn't as much of a blowhard and Nash became more pragmatic. It was one of our finest efforts. David was in excellent session shape and the band were consummate pros.
