Portamento is the second studio album by American indie pop band The Drums. The album was released in the United Kingdom on September 2, 2011 through Moshi Moshi and Island Records and was preceded by the release of lead single Money on August 19. Helen Clarke of musicOMH gave the album four out of five stars, saying, With their second album The Drums are more. The Drums' sophomore release, Portamento, was an album I was pretty excited for. Unfortunately, this has lead to a group of tracks that just feel, well, the same. I never assumed the Drums' debut to have a ton of variation, but this album made me realize just how much it is the second studio album by The Drums, released on September 2, 2011 on Moshi Moshi Records and Island Records.
