The Complete RCA Victor Mid-Forties Recordings - Duke Ellington. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Once Duke Ellington's complete RCAVictor recordings were released on the 24-disc box set in 1999, it meant that it was only a matter of time before the cream of that crop was released in individual sets. RCA was sharp enough to realize that there were a number of different audiences for Ellington's timeless recordings - audiences that wanted an overview of the entire multi-decade stint, audiences that wanted to hear a particular period of his time at the label. So, they released a number of different highlight discs, including the three-disc The Complete Victor Mid-Forties Recordin. The Complete RCA Victor Recordings is a 1995 compilation 2-CD set of sessions led by jazz trumpeter and composer Dizzy Gillespie recorded for the RCA Victor label between 1937 and 1949. Ginell states: Although the sheer scope of this double-CD roundup of all of Dizzy's Victor sessions places it most obviously within the evolution of bebop, it is absolutely essential to Latin jazz collections as well. Recorded between December 1, 1944 and August 26, 1946 on various locations RCA Studios, New York City, and Hollywood. A 3 disc set with a slipcover and a 27 page booklet with notes and photos.
