Notes

Cover totally different from original German (master) release.
Art work is that of German release's inner sleeve.
Labels are typically Dutch (EMI Bovema) versions of UK Harvest: matte yellow color (less bright than EMI Electrola ones) and Bovema type font applied. Rights society is Dutch: STEMRA.
Added image of back cover shows that French market got same Dutch release but then imported by French EMI branch Pathe Marconi (stickered).

Text on cover by Schoener:
"The music of 'Events' underlies a literary concept: 'A la recherche du temps perdu'. Although I do nor refer to particular contents of those books in my text. In 'Events' the atmosphere of this literary work is still reflected. The precision with which Proust describes his memories, his surroundings and his relationship to people and the way he makes them sensually understandable, let's me relive situations, friendships and experiences, which I had made in the last years, and created the basis for this album.
Side 'A' is about a friend, who died at the Isle of Paros (Fairlight 80), about an elderly person who told me the story of his only love (Margret), about a friend who is trying to solve a crisis with his wife (When Colours Die) and about a girl who gradually discovers her feelings (Gam Bang).
Side 'B' describes moods and memories. 'Events' concerns tenderness and ecstacy, 'Inversion' is about the blues and 'Magical Echoes' concerns my surroundings in the countryside."

German composer Schoener is a sonic explorer who has not only stepped outside European traditions for inspiration, but has created breathtaking music from the most unlikely sources, both natural and electronic. After an extended journey through the Far East, in which he studied religious as well as musical practices, he came to the conclusion that artists need to come to terms with their own cultural heritages to be truly effective.
