Album

Having preceded the self-titled album, Reverberation, and the late-'90s re-formation that has so far led to four further studio albums and two widely released live sets, Songs to Learn and Sing went over 20 years as the lone introduction to Echo & the Bunnymen. The group has more than doubled its output since the compilation was released, so either a revision or a sequel has been a long time coming. More Songs to Learn and Sing, the subtitle of The Very Best of Echo & the Bunnymen, is misleading since the disc is not supplemental. A number of tracks have been added to cover the band's career until 2005's Siberia, and one track, The Puppet, was removed. Echo & the Bunnymen are a British Post-punk band formed in Liverpool in 1978. The original line-up consisted of Ian McCulloch of The Crucial Three, Will Sergeant and Les Pattinson. There are many stories, probably apocryphal, that the quartet was completed by a drum machine known as Echo. By the time of their debut album, 1980's Crocodiles - a moderate UK hit - the drum machine had been replaced by Pete de Freitas. Their next, the critically-acclaimed Heaven Up Here, reached the Top Ten in 1981, as did 1983's Porcupine and '84's Ocean Rain. Sing read more. More by Echo & The Bunnymen. Ocean Rain. Clamor and delicacy sat side by side as McCulloch struggled to find his bearings in the turbulence of coming of age. They were always up and down The Yo-Yo Man , going up, going down Going Up , counseled alternately by angels and devils Angels And Devils , hostage to laughter and crying All My Life , consumed by the eternal contest described in their most famous song, The Killing Moon, as fate up against your will. These really are songs to learn and sing. The first single and track from the Bunnymens self-titled gray album of summer 1987, The Game was a long time coming. Bring On the Dancing Horses Lyrics.
