Recorded in Buenos Aires, roughly a year after the two pieces that compose the first release, Casa Corp reveals both a continuity and a progession of the trios improvisation. The artwork,made by American artist Thuy-Van Vu, consists of 200 prints of an original oil painting created for this album. All have different degrees of degradation and are created using a photo transfer process. Kaplan and Kurzmann's music has been showcased in recordings like Una CasaObservatorio Three Chairs Records, 2011 and Casa Corp Dromos Records, 2012, both with Chilean saxophonist Edén Carrasco and Shortening Distances L'innomable, 2013 with British saxophonist John Butcher. In 2011 Kaplan formed a duo with trumpeter Birgit Ulher. Their first album in 2015 called Stereo Trumpet was released by Relative Pitch Records. Both musicians have played together for many years, having toured Argentina, Chile, and Germany repeatedly. In 2013 he started a new project with Austrian sine waves minimalistic Klaus Filip. Casa Corp is the second release by the Buenos Aires-based trio of Argentine trumpeter Leonel Kaplan, Chilean alto saxophonist Edén Carrasco, and Austrian vocalist Christof Kurzmann. It follows Una Casa, Observatorio 2011, on Kaplan's own Three Chairs Recordings label. Kaplan and Carrasco were also on the Dromos label's first release in 2009, Moments of Falling Petals, in a trio completed by guitarist Tetuzi Akiyama.
