Album
Ernie Carlson & Social Poleca. Pink Elephants. Ernie Carson is a superior Dixieland cornetist, but this otherwise enjoyable set is greatly lowered by a series of dumb musician vocals. Carson who is OK on Pink Elephants but otherwise should have stuck to his horn and banjoist Bill Rutan felt compelled to sing on six of the 16 selections. Not only do they not have worthwhile voices, but the lyrics that they sing are cornballish and even on Sing Song Girl bordering on racist. Pink Elephants has been added to your Cart. Buy Now. Tim Polecat, vocalist, Martin Boz Boorer, guitarist and vocalist, Phil Bloomberg, bassist, and Chris Hawkes drummer, who originally played under the name Cult Heroes.
