This is perhaps my favorite recording of Annie Get Your Gun - I love everything about it - the sound of Stanley Black's orchestra is fantastic in Phase 4 sound, Merman sounds absolutely amazing, the supporting cast is fun, it's pretty complete and it's just too much fun. Merman sounds like she's having a blast - funny, endearing, and in great voice - I prefer this to the Lincoln Center recording. I don't know, I just do. This release is from Vocalion - I wish Decca would do this themselves with a new mastering. There is the nice bonus of the Georgia Brown Kurt Weill al.
