Penguin is the seventh studio album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, released in March 1973. It was the first Fleetwood Mac album after the departure of Danny Kirwan, the first to feature Bob Weston and the only one to feature Dave Walker. The penguin is the band mascot favoured by John McVie. His fascination with the birds originated when he lived near London Zoo during the early days of his marriage to Christine McVie. He was a member of the Zoological Society and would spend hours at. Remember Me 2. Bright Fire 3. Dissatisfied 4. Im A Road Runner 5. The Derelict 6. Revelation 7. Did You Ever Love Me 8. Night Watch 9. 1973's 'Penguin' album would do exactly that - but not before traveling a long, strange road. 1971 saw guitarist Bob Welch joining the ranks for the 'Future Games' LP. Fleetwood Mac : Penguin. Penguin is the seventh album by Fleetwood Mac, released in March 1973. The album was the first to feature lead guitarist Bob Weston and the only one with lead vocalist Dave Walker. The album took its title from the band's adoption of the penguin as their mascot based on bassist John McVie's fascination with the Arctic bird - he had taken to regularly watching them at London Zoo for a time. From 1971's Future Games onwards, virtually every Fleetwood Mac studio album featured the image of a penguin. Penguin is the first Fleetwood Mac album after Danny Kirwan was let go during the Bare Trees tour. Replacing him was Bob Weston formerly of Savoy Brown. The album features one of my favorite songs from this band called Did I Ever Love You which features steel drums that add a really interesting touch to the song. Much of the FM fan base focuses on the pop group Fleetwood Mac evolved into in the mid 1970s. There is a ton of interesting material in the pre-Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks era that warrants listening to. PENGUIN certainly is not a premier earlier MAC product, but I like it and recommend it. All you have to do Is look at me that way You don't have to say What's going on in your heart And deep in the night When I think you won't drive me crazy I'm just hoping that maybe You're feeling the same way to.
