Frank Zappa Meets the Mothers of Prevention is a 1985 album by Frank Zappa. The album was originally released in two slightly different versions in the US and Europe. The album's title is a reference to the lobby group, the PMRC, who were campaigning to require record companies to put warning stickers on albums they considered offensive, and to Zappa's former band, the Mothers of Invention. Album 2020 70 Songs. Mothers Live At Piknik VPRO, 6181970. Call Any Vegetable Live. Pound for a Brown Live. Sleeping in a Jar Live. Most importantly, the U. version of Frank Zappa Meets the Mothers of Prevention contained Porn Wars, a sound collage of excerpts from the PMRC hearings - the lobby group wanted a law instructing record companies to put warning stickers on offensive albums. The LP's title was inspired by that particular piece the other tracks don't relate to the subject and yet the version released in Europe, Japan, and Canada - which sported inverted black and white on the cover - did not include Porn Wars, but three extra tracks two on Synclavier and one rock song. The second Mothers Of Invention album, originally released in 1967, continues Zappa's musical combo of rocksatirejazzdoo-wop and more. With society at large still reeling from the assault of FREAK OUT, Zappa went a few steps further with Brown Shoes Don't Make It and Plastic People - two of his most pointed satirical pieces, and concert standards for many years to come as was the cheerful surrealism of Call Any Vegetable. The Mothers consisted of Jimmy Carl Black, Ray Collins, Roy Estrada, Bunk Gardner, Billy Mundi, Don Preston and Motorhead
