Green On Red frontman Dan Stuart has been blessedcursed with the moaning, abrasive voice of the archetypal rocker. With no real technique but plenty of heart, he can't sing a note but boy can he sing-like a cross between Lou Reed and Neil Young had taken singing lessons from Bob Dylan-and he's backed by a band that pulls from similar influences, twisting touches of gospel organ with Howlin' Wolf blues and distorted, Creedence. Okay, this isn't the best Green on Red album, not by a longshot. But it's definitely one to check out if you are a fan of their other albums. I would take exception with the reviewer who said there aren't any great songs on here
