Hans Christian Andersen had his first glimmer of inspiration for the story in 1842, while staying at the country estate of Bregentved, and enjoying the beauty of nature. The Ugly Duckling is an audiobook of the classic 1843 fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen. It is narrated by American singer-actress Cher, and was released in 1987 by Windham Hill Christian Andersen. T was lovely summer weather in the country, and the golden corn, the green oats, and the haystacks piled up in the meadows looked beautiful.
