Indeed, Heifetzs propulsion leans toward the overtly Romantic giving an almost sardonic, cheeky wit with Prokofievs melding of Romanticism and dissonance. The Glazunov Concerto, recorded in 1963, is a bit of fluff in my opinion, but it seems many of Heifetzs recordings allow him some flash and fire after the more serious affairs, and luckily this Glazunov concerto doesnt overstay its welcome at all.
