The challenge Jason Collett faced on his first offering for Arts & Crafts was to establish a clear artistic identity independent of his contributions to what is, both literally and figuratively, one of Canadas biggest indie acts, Broken Social Scene. On the whole, though, Idols of Exile proves that Collett need not resort to stunt-writing. Released: Jun 2005. Label: Arts & Crafts Productions, Inc. Broken Social Scene have allowed many of their talents to find solo success. Jason Collett is one of those breakout stars, and not surprisingly, he leans on his . buddies to help flesh out this 2005 release. Emily Haines adds a down-home casualness to duet Hangover Days Leslie Feist, Kevin Drew, Amy Millan and James Shaw also lend vocal support, while other fellow Canadians offer their own multi-instrumental talents
