The Sweet was a compilation album released as Sweet's debut album in the US and Canada, substituting for the 1971 UK album Funny How Sweet Co-Co Can Be. The band's second album, Sweet Fanny Adams was also not given a US release, but tracks from that and the band's third album Desolation Boulevard were combined on the US version of that album to compensate for this. The Sweet Singles Album is a 1975 compilation album by Sweet released on RCA Records for the Australia and New Zealand market only. It was released by RCA Australia, mainly to capitalise on The Sweet's various heavier singles from the 1973-74 period, ahead of the band visiting the region and touring. The Sweet Singles Album does not replace any of the original European Sweet release albums but complements them. The track listing shows a harder rock style and a move away from the softer bubblegum. Holiday is the fourth studio album by the American folk rock band America, released on the Warner Bros. Records label in June 1974. The album was produced in London by noted record producer George Martin. The album was a big hit in the US, reaching number 3 on the Billboard album chart and being certified gold by the RIAA. It produced two hit singles: Tin Man reached number 4 on the Billboard singles chart and went to number 1 on the adult contemporary chart chart and Lonely People which peaked. Sweet Esmeralda.
