Album
Golden Age of Radio is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Josh Ritter. It was Ritter's first album to be released nationally after he was signed to Signature Sounds. According to his official website, Golden Age of Radio was originally self-released in 2001 and passed out at shows. This self-pressed version contained a different, solo version of the title track called Country Song, different mastering, and a different track order. The Golden Age of Radio, also known as the old-time radio OTR era, was an era of radio in the United States where it was the dominant electronic home entertainment medium. It began with the birth of commercial radio broadcasting in the early 1920s and lasted through the 1950s, when television gradually superseded radio as the medium of choice for scripted programming, variety and dramatic shows. And hold their heads up high when my headlights find them out They'll be the first to put their hands in the air with my radio on Singing a country song soft and low.
