Fort Yawuh' is a little long-winded live outing but there are great moments of groove in 'De Drums' performed by the American Band. The other three albums are studio outing and offer up plenty surprises to the listener. Death and the Flower' while sombre in tone sounds like the breeding ground for ideas that came to fruition on the 1976 ECM masterpiece 'The Survivors Suite' which was the pinnacle of this bands creativity under Jarrett.
