This excellent outing by multi-reedist Ken McIntyre ranges musically in his ten originals from a blues, the ballad Charlotte, and a tribute to John Coltrane Sea Train to freer pieces. McIntyre is heard on alto, flute, bassoon, oboe and bass clarinet and is joined by a stimulating rhythm section consisting of pianist Jaki Byard who plays electric piano on the title cut, bassist Reggie Workman and drummer Andrei Strobert.
