Kiss is the debut studio album by American rock band Kiss, released on February 18, 1974. Much of the material on the album was written by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, as members of their pre-Kiss band Wicked Lester. Simmons estimated that the entire process of recording and mixing took three weeks, while co-producer Richie Wise has stated it took just 13 days. KISS has reversed course and decided to hit the studio next year to record its first new album since 1998's Psycho Circus. It's going to be very much a vintage, classic, 70s KISS album without much regard to what's happened since then. It's back to the roots, said singer and guitarist Paul Stanley, who will produce the album. He told in a recent interview that the band planned to hit the studio shortly. In recent years, bassist Gene Simmons has been vocal about his lack of enthusiasm about making a new album, which he attributes to the state of the bu. The Tickler. Album Tracks. Love Gun, Hotter Than Hell and Dynasty have great songs on them but they also have some filler tunes, so I rate these albums a bit lower. The Elder is very under-rated. This is definitely the greatest KISS album out there. There are 20 studio albums & I like most of the ones from the first album to the mid-80s, then most from the mid-90s to their newest one from 2012. There are 10 live albums & all of their live albums are great to me. Destroyer is by the far the best Kiss album but Creatures of the night is really good and under rated . On the flip ''The Tickler' was more popular than the A-side, and in UK, allegedly no one else besides Duke Vin owned the vinyl until the 90's.
