Album
Hope is the second album by the Canadian rock band Klaatu and their first concept album. Released in September 1977, it won a Juno Award for Best Engineered Album and a Canadian Music Critics award for Best Album that same year. An alternate version of Hope was released in 2005 as part of the group's Sun Set collection of rarities. The alternate version on Sun Set includes the complete contributions of the London Symphony Orchestra, which had largely been removed from the version released in 1977. Hope - Klaatu. Their subsequent releases were downright ghastly pop-rock affairs that lacked originality and made their early-'80s demise a welcome occurrence. Album 1977 8 Songs. More By Klaatu. As it works its way toward a dreadful end, however, the album bogs down badly. The title track , there's just no hope. Not many groups could carry off something that heavy Klaatu didn't. Instead of being the affirmation it was intended to be, Hope comes across as lifeless and forced. The guys probably should have rung up Yes and gotten their advice. If the lyrics are going to get preachy, you hav
