Listening back to Kosheen's debut, Resist, what hits you first is that this act owed as much to trip-hop and rock as the drum 'n' bass stylings casual fans might have known them for. Me and Darren were doing drum 'n' bass stuff, but I just wanted to break out of that format of doing music at that fixed drum 'n' bass bpm. We were exploring new ground.
