Kraftwerk with the song Spacelab from the album die Mensch maschine from 1978. The Robots original: Die Roboter is a single released to accompany The Man-Machine in the UK and various other countries, whilst 'Die Roboter' accompanied 'Die Mensch-Maschine' in Germany and few other german-speaking countries. On the original singles' B-side, Spacelab featured. However, both versions of the songs on the album are longer. This makes the 7 Single interesting for collectors. Kraftwerks debut album barely exists its been quietly ushered out of the official records by de facto leader Hütter. A pity, really. Its not tearing up any trees in the 31st century electronica stakes, but its still a fascinating record. More of a full band at this point, Kraftwerk are skirting around the edges of free jazz on Ruckzuck with Schneider mucking about on the flute, of all things, and not for the last time and getting motorik on the epic Stratovarius. Hardly surprising with future Neu drummer Klaus Dinger providing the propulsion
