Album
Kraftwerk is the debut studio album by German electronic band Kraftwerk. It was released in Germany in 1970, and produced by Konrad Conny Plank. Chief Kraftwerk members Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider used two drummers during the recording of the album Andreas Hohmann and Klaus Dinger. Their playing provides the music with a rock edge. This proves to be quite distinct from Hütter and Schneider's previous band Organisation, or the following pair of Kraftwerk albums, Kraftwerk 2 and Ralf und. Kraftwerk - Kraftwerk Full Album. Find the latest tracks, albums, and images from s debut album barely exists its been quietly ushered out of the official records by de facto leader Hütter. A pity, really. Its not tearing up any trees in the 31st century electronica stakes, but its still a fascinating record. Kraftwerk souped up their sound for the 90s market accordingly, remixing favourites and ensuring everything had a kinetic dancefloor makeover, reflecting the evolution of tracks when they played live. Radioactivity and a slimmed down Autobahn stand out in whats still a handy Kraftwerk primer. Poor Fritz Hilpert. Former Kraftwerk percussionist Karl Bartos features in the new issue of Uncut February 2013, Take 189, out now, discussing the upcoming Kraftwerk retrospective shows in London, and his own new solo album, Off The Record. As a companion piece, heres Ralf Hütter taking us through the high points of Kraftwerks discography in a fascinating album by album from Uncuts October 2009 issue Take 149. He might have spent most of the past two decades cocooned in the Kubrickian perfectionism of his secret Kling Klang studio in Düsseldorf, but Kraftwerks Ralf Hütter is on unusually. warm form wh. The Kraftwerk sound was more experimental and mostly created from scratch with whatever electronics they owned no samples for example. It sounded GREAT at the time. Firstly, I don't think an album only mixed on Neve owes it's sound to Neve. Secondly, there's some pretty good stuff on Electric Cafe mostly digital and the recent live album. It isn't that different from the usual Kraftwerk sound IMO, just a bit beefier in the drum dept. Seems like everyone is buzzing about Electric Cafe, but it was received with a very mixed response on it's release and was a bit of a commercial and critical flop. It's also the least Kraftwerk sounding Kraftwerk album there is IMO although I like it a lot too
