The two play both six- and 12-string instruments, often overdubbing parts to create a big, chorus-like sound. Keane is an intelligent, chopsy soloist with a tone that's warmer than Coryell's. His compositions range from accessible blowing vehicles such as Brazilia, At the Airport, and Warm Weather to the hard-edged Logical Solution and the highly abstract A Piece for Larry. Larry talked about putting together a 5 part guitar group for the next show playing his arrangements of Russian music. Brian Keane was born January 18, 1953 in Philadelphia. His mother Winifred Keane is an avant garde composer, and his father George F. Keane, while being a successful business man, was also an Irish tenor. Brian's brother Geoffrey Keane and his sister Sheila are both musical as well.
