После 4-х летнего молчания музыканты группы BARSOOM выпустили под крылом лэйбла СОЮЗ дебютный альбом своего нового проекта LIFEFORM "The Cold" – эдакий эксперимент объединения не объединяемых до сего момента жанров хэви / павер-метала – c электронной музыкой (в частности с ее психоделическими и достаточно крайними формами).
По заявлению самих участников коллектива, LIFEFORM – это работа, прежде всего, на стыке старой школы хэви-метал и, возможно, поэтому общий звук и атмосфера пластинки могут отдавать естественной непринужденностью и могут приятно напомнить о временах хэви-метал банд конца 80-х.

Электронный же слой пластинки, в работе над которым приняла участие некая таинственная команда SUNBIRD STEALS MY DISTANT EYES – делает этот материал уникальным. Это несомненный психо-эмбиент с весьма романтичной атмосферой: иногда мрачной, иногда ослепительно яркой, полет сквозь одиночество покинутых пустынь, холод бездонных пещер, фантастические ландшафты и т.д. Послушайте альбом целиком – и вы убедитесь в этом сами. Тексты песен – эмоциональные опусы страсти и меланхолии, навеянные фантастической атмосферой электроники, наполненные энергией футуристичные боевики и глубоко печальные баллады, тяжёлая музыка с выдающимся электронным слоем и классическим вокалом хэви-метал."
