Nordlys Northern Light in Norwegian is the second full-length studio album by the German symphonicfolk metal band Midnattsol. It was released on 28 March 2008 through Napalm Records. After three years of the release of their well-received debut album Where Twilight Dwells 2005, Midnattsol decided change direction and to compose an album with dark atmospheres in a melodic and heavy sound, influenced more closely by traditional gothic metal. When you buy a new CD, and in this case a metal album, you often get these small commercial papers with various recommendations. I found one of these in an album I had purchased and noticed an album cover with two beautiful women on it. The band was called Mittnattsol and they describe themselves as ''Nordic folk metal''.
